Main Games Info
Duke Nukem:
Well the first game I played was Duke Nukem on Wireplay back in the days when you had to connect through DOS software on a 28k modem! A friend of mine ran the 1v1 tournaments for Wireplay of which I won on many occasions (used to be 2 qualifiers and a final each week).
Quake2:
Well I started off playing Quake 2 basically a little time after it came out, as soon as I got ISDN installed I was hooked on this game and used to play 1v1 all the time and also play for a few clans in both the UKCCL and Wireplay leagues. I played 1v1 all the time with friends from CoG (Children Of Gia) and Mr (Mortal Retribution), mainly because my brother played for Mr.
Quake 3:
Well, when I first started playing Quake 3 I joined a clan (which I can’t even remember the name of) for TDM which had members such as Qwan / Andrew in, as I got talking to Qwan in the Mr chat room. I really hated TDM so moved onto Rocket Arena 3 (as I played Rocket Arena 2 and liked it) as soon as it was released, never really looked back.
I started a clan on Rocket Arena 3 with a guy called Mass!ve which was called Company UK (our tag was .co.uk), we had players such as CaNeD and L3ON in the clan, I would say this was the best RA3 line-up clan I have been in. I was then asked to join rg* (Railgunners) which I did when .co.uk split off to other clans. We played in a few leagues and did quite well. Too much to write about RA3 as I was in quite a few clans and leagues for it!
CPMA came out and I started playing it as it was basically the same as Rocket Arena but with better netcode and a little bit faster. I really liked CPMA, mainly because it was easy to play. I was asked to join Generation X which I did and we were entered to the Jolt league in Division 2 (EH??!). We got through Division 2 with eas and came 2nd in Division 1, which we lost 1 game (when I had ping problems 200-300).
Quake 4
When Quake 4 came out I played it for a while with friends from Mr, I didn’t really get into it and have only just recently installed it again with the latest patch (Aug 2007). I will keep people updated anyway!
QuakeLive
Well i started to play QuakeLive for a bit a while back now (a little under a year ago), found some old clan mates from Quake 3 and Rocket Arena playing on it, but it just didn’t feel the same, still had certain players accusing me of cheating on there.
August 2010: I have pretty much quit FPS gaming all together now, come to think of it all gaming really. FPS games do my head in now and I don’t really have time to play any games.
