Guitarists
Well I thought that I would add a page about Guitarists that I enjoy listening to and also inspired me to play Electric Guitar. I have been playing Electric Guitar for the past 12 years and have gone through all types of styles. I would say that when I first started playing Guitar my main inspiration to play was Slash from Guns N Roses, Billy Gibbons from ZZ Top and Dave Murray from Iron Maiden. As the years have gone by I have got to like a load of other Guitarists, most noteably Joe Satriani who has really made me want to play more technical stuff and is to date the best Guitarist I have seen Live. Jimi Hendrix
Well it goes without saying really, Jimi Hendrix was a real inspirational player to all Guitar musicians in his time and ever since his time. He is probably the best Guitarist to have walked this earth.
Joe Satriani
Joe Satriani has been a really big inspiration for me to play more technical styles of playing. I went to see him Live in 2006 and he is by far the best Guitarists I have seen to date. Joe started playing when he heard that Jimi Hendrix had died, he is recognised as a technically highly advanced rock guitarist, his music is amazing. I could listen to his albums all day long.
Glen Buxton
Glen Buxton was an amazing Guitarist, he played Guitar for the original Alice Cooper Group and was the co-writer of such rock n’ roll classics as “School’s Out,” “I’m Eighteen,” and “Elected,” and is credited as lead guitarist on seven albums by the Alice Cooper group, including the chart-topping Billion Dollar Babies. In 2003, Rolling Stone magazine named Buxton as one of the “100 greatest guitarists of all time”.
Reb Beach
Reb Beach is currently in Whitesnake but has been in many good bands from the 1980′s onwards. I really like the way that Reb plays.
Steve Vai
Steve Vai is another great Guitar player, he has been in many bands most notably David Lee Roth and Whitesnake. He is more known for his solo albums now.
Doug Aldrich
Doug Aldrich has played for a few bands, most notably for DIO and Whitesnake. Again, another Guitar player whos style of playing I really like.
Bruce Kulick
Bruce Kulick is another of my favorite Guitarists, he wrote a hell of a lot of stuff for Kiss both Guitar and Bass and is a amazing Guitar Player!
