Quake 4 Util
Quake 4 Utilities is currently under construction but I have added this page to give a brief description as to what it will do. Basically it is a more advanced version of the Quake 3 Utilities software I created 6 years ago. Quake 3 Utilities was wrote in VB6 whereas Quake 4 Utilities is wrote in Visual Studio 2005 in C#. The main function of Quake 4 Utilities at the moment is for Item Timing. I have not yet figured out how to do the 1v1 timing but I have sorted out clan match – team play timing.

Well as you can see the Software layout is quite nice. I am only placing this screenshot up at the moment even though the rest of it is done. On the setup tab there are options which write a config to wherever the users q4base directory is – the software also automatically writes to the Autoexec.cfg or creates a new Autoexec.cfg to execute it’s own config. The software has recently been tested by me and it is in no way detectable by PunkBuster or any other form of anti-cheat Software.
At the moment the Team timers are the only thing which is complete, the teamSay function is used from this program into quake 4 either 10 seconds or 20 seconds before the certain item re-spawns. So for instance if the Red Armour is due back in 10 seconds a message in team chat comes up saying:
zemo (Marine Team): RED ARMOUR BACK IN 10 SECONDS
A lot more work will be done to this software when I have time (probably over the weekend), and more options will be added to it. The Software has not been released as of yet and may not even be released anyway – depends how I feel when I have finished programming it.
Update August 2007: I have started working on this project again after a year or so and hope to update this page soon. New things have been added and the program is undergoing major changes to how I first planned it to be.
