Android Applications…
Well I have become a qualified Android Developer, so am currently looking for new app ideas to create. I am currently working on two applications at the moment but will be creating as many as possible over the next year or so. I plan to create usable apps, if you have any ideas please feel free to contact me. I am looking for all app ideas which have not yet made it to the app market.
QuakeLive Utilities
Well I did some work on QuakeLive Utilities over the weekend and it’s finished, fully working. Hoping to add some screenshots soon, I just need to decide whether I sell the app and create a Online Community for it, release it for free… or not release it at all. If I see enough interest for it then I will create a Online Community and change it so people have to login to use it.
QuakeLive Utilities…
Well I have just started working on QuakeLive Utilities, which is a follow on of the software that I created for both Quake 3 and Quake 4. QuakeLive Utilities will have full functionality for item timing within QuakeLive which will be a fully legal and non-cheat application. Currently I have designed the layout of the app, the application is being programmed in C#.net in Visual Studio 2008, more user friendly for Vista users and will be made for a basis to run on Vista 64 ONLY! Due to specific reasoning by myself and DirectX 10 capabilities. The software will be running in the background and all functionality will be down to the user and not the software. Minimal memory usage is a key factor of this application for me. More news on this software soon and maybe some screenshots.
MCAD/MCSD Self-Paced Training Kit
|
|
Well today I received my MCSD training kit. It is basically all of the books for each section of the MCSD qualification. I have started going through it but most of the stuff I already know! It’s basically the Microsoft Press training set to become a MCAD/MCSD there is a hell of a lot to go through and read! At least I have something to do when bored! I’m going to try to go through as much of it as I can this week and find out about the exams in more detail. |
Microsoft MCSD / MCPD..

Well, I am currently trying to decide which course to do to further my Programming qualifications more so than my level of Programming (as I have been Developing software with .NET for 6 years now). I have been programming since Visual Basic 6 through to todays Visual Studio 2008. Following discussion it was bought up that it would be handy for me to get either Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer or Microsoft Certified Professional Developer.. I have been reading up on both of them and both contain similar units, to even attempt them Microsoft advises candidates to have at least two years experience of working with Visual Studio and Developing Software (so it’s an experienced based Qualification).
I have also found out that if you already have the MCSD you can take two exams to upgrade this to a MCPD! It looks like I might be able to just take the exams with the knowledge that I have along with a bit of reading which would be good. The only problem is costs in the UK, so I am trying to find out if I can do the exams somewhere else. To get MCPD via the MCSD route.
WordPress Plugins..
Well as I do Software Development I thought I’d setup a webserver with WordPress on it and play around with some plugins, I noticed there are a considerable amount of plugins which would be very handy which have not been created yet. So I have started programming some plugins for it; I am in the middle of creating a SQL plugin for information which is going to be kept secret until I decide to release it or not!
